Dear Tannkosh-Crews and visitors,

we are very happy to announce the participation of the L 39 Albatros (owned by Art-on-Air, operated by Schallflug)
in the Tannkosh flying display!
The L 39 Albatros is a basic jet trainer which has been in operation in most of the former Warsaw pact country airforces for the past decades. This Jet is unique since it combines quick assembly, good training capabilities and good performance (can even be operated on grass strips, but we won't insist on this point during Tannkosh as we are happy to see it perform in the air, and don't want to put undue stress on our governing agencies).

The two L 39 Albatros jets are flown by Hannes Rudolf and Dirk Effelsberg.

Hannes Rudolf has logged around 2.500 hours of jet-time in the German Airforce, flying T 37, T 38, Alpha Jet and Tornado.
He was Squadron Commander at JaboG 34 "Allgäu" at Memmingen Airforce Base for 2 years, he's familiar with our area and will be flying in his home turf, so to speak, during the Tannkosh Flying display.

Dirk Effelsberg is a Ryanair pilot flying a 737-800 for a living, and he's been flying different "vintage-jets" like the Jet Provost, L 39 and T 33 since 2005.
